Anishinaabe-zhiiwaagamizigan, the Ojibwe word for maple syrup, is tapped from three different types of maple trees, the sugar maple, the black maple, and the red maple.
Maple syrup has a relatively low mineral content, consisting largely of potassium and calcium, but also contains nutritionally significant amounts of zinc and manganese. Maple syrup also contains trace amounts of amino acids.
Maple syrup is widely used as a sweetener for granola, applesauce, baked beans, candied sweet potatoes, winter squash, cakes, pies, breads, tea, coffee, and of course pancakes and waffles.

This is the best maple syrup ever, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. It tastes so good - like caramel. I gave it as Christmas gifts to my family, everyone agreed. And it ships so fast! Very happy - a regular customer.
